Press Release
Barrington, IL….Two real estate-oriented organizations, Realtors Association of Northwest Chicagoland and Illinois Association of Realtors, both endorsed the candidacy of Dan Duffy, of Lake Barrington, for Illinois Senate.
“The Realtors Political Action Committee is strongly supporting Dan Duffy for the 26th Senate District,” said Greg St. Aubin, director of governmental affairs for the Illinois Association of REALTORS. “We are strongly supporting Dan Duffy. The REALTOR PAC has made a strong financial commitment, and we are carrying out other grassroots activities to help Dan get elected.”
Duffy said he is honored to have the support of Illinois realtors. “In the troubled economy the homeowners of our communities face today, it is imperative we do all we can to support the efforts of our real estate professionals,” said Duffy. “By promoting a healthy economy in Illinois through business expansion we can help the real estate market rebound from this prolonged housing slump.”
Duffy is a Republican running to replace longtime state Senator Bill Peterson, R-Buffalo Grove, who is retiring. Duffy’s opponent in the Senate race is a former employee of the Realtors Association of Northwest Chicagoland but failed to garner the organization’s support in the General Election.
