Press Release

Barrington, Il….Illinois state Senate candidate Dan Duffy has received the endorsement of PAMCANI in the race for the 26th District state Senate seat in the northwest suburbs.

“As a small businessman, Dan Duffy shares the same experience that our contractors do: he understands that local businesses are the backbone of our community,” said S.J. Peters, PAMCANI Executive Director. “Our endorsement comes from our belief that Dan will go to Springfield and staunchly oppose the myriad taxes and fees enacted by Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s administration over the last five years. The union contractors that make up PAMCANI’s constituency every day demonstrate the fact that good jobs put spending power into the hands of consumers, which is made possible by business owners who provide a fair value. Dan has proven that he in step with our views, so he’s earned our backing as a result.”

Duffy said he is grateful for the support of PAMCANI. “If our local businesses thrive, then our communities thrive,” said Duffy. “Right now in Illinois there is a hostile environment between government and business. We need to change the anti-small business atmosphere in Illinois. Encouraging business expansion and job growth will reduce our unemployment rate. PAMCANI members understand the issues and I am honored to receive their endorsement.”

The Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Authority of Northern Illinois (PAMCANI) is comprised of industry professionals with a dedication to the safest and highest quality plumbing and mechanical services available in Northern Illinois. Members employ trained and licensed journeymen plumbers, pipefitters and mechanical contractors belonging to the United Association Local 93 (Lake and McHenry Counties) and Local 501 (DuPage, DeKalb, Kane and Kendall Counties). These contractors work throughout Northern Illinois.

Duffy is running in the Nov. 4, General Election as a Republican to replace retiring state Senator Bill Peterson, R-Buffalo Grove.
